WSRE Anniver\u00adsary: pro et con parti\u00adci\u00adpa\u00adtes with a Lecture at the 25th Workshop \u201cSoftware-Reengi\u00ad\u00adnee\u00adring & \u2011Evolu\u00adtion\u201d (WSRE)<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Physik\u00adzen\u00adtrum Bad Honnef<\/p><\/div>\n

The workshop \u201cSoftware-Reengi\u00ad\u00adnee\u00adring & \u2011Evolu\u00adtion\u201d (WSRE)<\/a> is the most important German-speaking forum on software moder\u00adni\u00adsa\u00adtion, reengi\u00adnee\u00adring and mainten\u00adance. It takes place at the Physik\u00adzen\u00adtrum Bad Honnef<\/a> on an annual basis. The workshop is organised by the GI specia\u00adlist group \u201cSoftware-Reengi\u00ad\u00adnee\u00adring\u201d<\/a> and, in this anniver\u00adsary year, brought together scien\u00adtists and practice repre\u00adsen\u00adta\u00adti\u00adves to exchange experi\u00aden\u00adces for the 25th time already.<\/p>\n

pro et con took part with one lecture:<\/p>\n

Mr Bauer spoke about the tool-based refac\u00adto\u00adring of Java programs, which were automa\u00adti\u00adcally genera\u00adted from COBOL programs in a migration project. The goal is to improve maintaina\u00adbi\u00adlity and program under\u00adstan\u00adding of Java programs.<\/p>\n

In the context of the anniver\u00adsary, compa\u00adnies and indivi\u00addu\u00adals distin\u00adgu\u00adis\u00adhing themsel\u00adves by a parti\u00adcu\u00adlarly active parti\u00adci\u00adpa\u00adtion over the past 25 years were honou\u00adred. Thus, pro et con ranked 3rd among the most active compa\u00adnies, with a total of 42 parti\u00adci\u00adpa\u00adti\u00adons. Uwe Erdmen\u00adger, our employee, ranked 2nd with 22 parti\u00adci\u00adpa\u00adti\u00adons and was honou\u00adred with the induc\u00adtion into a \u201cvirtual hall of fame\u201d.<\/p>\n

A panel discus\u00adsion, a visit to a winery inclu\u00adding wine tasting and a confe\u00adrence dinner in the evening rounded off the workshop.<\/p>\n

In summary, it was a successful event, which gave room for the presen\u00adta\u00adtion of research findings and the exchange of scien\u00adti\u00adfic views.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>
