The global online platform MANTED (MAN Techni\u00adsche Daten) and the company\u2019s inter\u00adnal HIT (harmo\u00adni\u00adsa\u00adtion and integra\u00adtion of techni\u00adcal databa\u00adses) workflow manage\u00adment system was launched in 1999 by pro et con and MAN Truck & Bus SE and has been conti\u00adnuously develo\u00adped ever since.<\/p>\n

Both closely linked systems, which can be acces\u00adsed by custo\u00admers via https:\/\/www.manted.de<\/a>, have led to the exten\u00adsive digita\u00adli\u00adsa\u00adtion of count\u00adless work proces\u00adses at MAN and thus ensure the relia\u00adble, effici\u00adent, timely and audit-proof delivery of a wide variety of vehicle-related documents to MAN customers.<\/p>\n

Requi\u00adre\u00adment:<\/strong> the lifespan of a commer\u00adcial vehicle is accom\u00adpa\u00adnied by a multi\u00adtude of various data and documents. Be it an offer for special custo\u00admer requests, manufac\u00adtu\u00adrer confir\u00adma\u00adti\u00adons for planned conver\u00adsi\u00adons, vehicle-related documents, confir\u00adma\u00adti\u00adons of new or modified vehicle software or even design speci\u00adfi\u00adca\u00adti\u00adons, data sheets, drawings and much more. MAN provi\u00addes all this data on request. At the begin\u00adning of the MANTED\/HIT develo\u00adp\u00adment, custo\u00admers sent their requi\u00adre\u00adments to MAN by letter, fax, telephone or e\u2011mail. The result was loads of paper\u00adwork which was diffi\u00adcult to process and archi\u00adved in huge filing cabinets. Documents and notifi\u00adca\u00adti\u00adons were sent to the custo\u00admer in a similar way. Large-format techni\u00adcal drawings had to be delica\u00adtely folded and sent to the reques\u00adter by letter.
\nFunda\u00admen\u00adtal requi\u00adre\u00adments for the MANTED\/HIT develo\u00adp\u00adment were a steadily incre\u00adasing number of appli\u00adca\u00adti\u00adons, a reduced or at most constant number of proces\u00adsors, combi\u00adned with the desire to have all infor\u00adma\u00adtion available not only locally in one file folder, but digitally throug\u00adhout the company.<\/p>\n

Reali\u00adsa\u00adtion: <\/strong>the fulfilm\u00adent of these requi\u00adre\u00adments was only possi\u00adble through a catego\u00adri\u00adcal techno\u00adlo\u00adgi\u00adcal change in proces\u00adsing custo\u00admer enqui\u00adries at MAN. As part of the MANTED\/HIT develo\u00adp\u00adment, document invent\u00adories were first digitised.
\nWith MANTED, a web portal was created, enabling custo\u00admers around the world to submit requests to MAN. These appli\u00adca\u00adti\u00adons are automa\u00adti\u00adcally forwarded to specia\u00adli\u00adsed proces\u00adsors, who handle them comple\u00adtely digitally in HIT. Documents and notifi\u00adca\u00adti\u00adons are sent to the custo\u00admer electro\u00adni\u00adcally. A signi\u00adfi\u00adcant increase in the effici\u00adency and quality of work proces\u00adses is just as much a result of these forward-looking develo\u00adp\u00adment strate\u00adgies in MANTED and HIT as the signi\u00adfi\u00adcant reduc\u00adtion in vehicle downti\u00admes. Result: <\/strong>over the last 10 years, the number of enqui\u00adries recei\u00adved by MANTED and HIT has almost quadru\u00adpled. In contrast, the number of employees proces\u00adsing appli\u00adca\u00adti\u00adons has remained virtually unchan\u00adged, which indica\u00adtes a signi\u00adfi\u00adcant increase in effici\u00adency. MANTED and HIT provide for count\u00adless inter\u00adfaces to MAN-inter\u00adnal and exter\u00adnal systems that obtain data from MANTED\/HIT. Milli\u00adons of documents are managed by MANTED\/HIT.
